The rising popularity of celebrity look-alike contests continues in Brazil, as fans prepare for a Wagner Moura-themed competition in Salvador. Scheduled for December 15 at 3 PM at the Farol da Barra, the event will award R$150 to the best Wagner Moura doppelgänger.
This follows a successful Selton Mello contest in Rio de Janeiro, where the winner, Ramon, celebrated his unique recognition as “the first Black Selton Mello look-alike.” His prize included cinema tickets and a blender, in a nod to Mello’s film Reflexões de um Liquidificador.
The look-alike trend has gained momentum globally, with contests inspired by actors like Timothée Chalamet and Paul Mescal. These events mix humor and creativity, with Brazil adding its characteristic playful twist.
