Two-time Olympic medalist Noah Lyles, who won gold and bronze in athletics at the 2024 Paris Olympics, responded to a challenge from NFL star Tyreek Hill with a mocking tone.
Lyles dismissed Hill’s challenge, saying the football player is just “looking for attention.” This response came after Hill claimed he could beat the Olympic champion in a head-to-head race. It’s worth noting that Hill competed in track and field during college.
“He’s just chasing clout. Every time someone fast shows up, he says he wants to race them. I don’t have time for this. Tyreek is just trying to show off. If he’s serious, he should come talk to me and my agent to set something up. Let’s meet on the track,” Lyles said during an interview on an American podcast.
After hearing Lyles’ remarks, Hill fired back on social media: “Sign the contract and set up a 50-yard race.”
Noah Lyles earned his medals in Paris with a gold in the 100m sprint and a bronze in the 200m, despite competing with Covid-19.
