Attorneys representing X (formerly Twitter) in the Supreme Federal Court (STF) informed CNN on Thursday morning (19) that Elon Musk’s legal team in the United States has agreed that, to resume operations in Brazil, they must adhere to the rulings of Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
According to sources, Musk consented, and the accounts subject to blocking orders have been restricted since last night.
In another move towards the court, X filed a petition with the STF last night, clarifying that the platform’s reactivation in Brazil on Wednesday (18) was due to a technical error and not a deliberate violation of court orders.
This change in legal strategy follows a shake-up in the defense team representing X in Brazil. Pinheiro Neto, one of the country’s largest law firms, had withdrawn from the case last week. The matter was then passed to a new attorney but later returned to Pinheiro Neto, which signed the latest petition on Wednesday night.
