Ryan Reynolds Pays Tribute to Rob Delaney’s Late Son in “Deadpool & Wolverine”

When Rob Delaney’s two-year-old son, Henry, passed away from a brain tumor in 2018, it occurred just months before the release of Deadpool 2. Delaney, who plays Peter in the Deadpool franchise alongside Ryan Reynolds, now has a touching tribute to Henry included in the credits of the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film.

In a heartfelt social media post, Reynolds shared the significance of this gesture, stating, “There’s more to @robdelaney than some realize. He’s one of the most subversively funny people I know… If you stayed through the credits of Deadpool & Wolverine, you might notice a credit saying, ‘For Henry Delaney.’ Henry was Rob’s son… and Rob lost his little boy to a brain tumor in 2018. Right as we finished Deadpool 2.”

Reynolds expressed regret for not including a tribute to Henry in the credits of Deadpool 2, but felt comforted that, with this new film, “father and son are sharing the same screen.”

Along with the post, Reynolds included an image of Delaney’s book A Heart That Works, a memoir that recounts the emotional journey of losing his son.
